The Space Between

Between journeys, I stop to rest.
I come full circle: my endings and beginnings are one. The world dragon that bites its own tail, the life\death\life mother. Always there is blood, often there are tears, but sometimes there is laughter. We are all standing on the bones of our ancestors, millennia of love and toil brought us here.
This is the world of one who is only at home when lost.

  • snagamat:

Hallstatt has 946 inhabitants as of the 2001 census. More from the source:

Hallstatt is known for its production of salt, dating back to prehistoric times, and gave its name to the Hallstatt culture, a culture often linked to Celtic, Proto-Celtic and pre-Illyrian peoples in Early Iron Age Europe, c.800-450 BCE. Some of the earliest archaeological evidence for the Celts(Kelts) was found in Hallstatt.

I don’t know. Just struck me as kind of story book pretty. Whose story book? Question for another time…Oh, btw, the middle pic is from this page.

And it really is that beautiful.

  • Evening sun.
I think about these few days all the more as time goes on. How having no camera to record it was both a blessing and a curse, for now I know I am the only one who saw what I saw. Life on the edge, life in the forest, life alone.
How I nearly died.
